Manuela first began practicing yoga 13 years ago. She didn’t immediately like it since her background as a runner and soccer player had trained her body to be rigid and tight. She had previously endured several injuries from what one doctor diagnosed as “chronic inflexibility.”
After a few months of continuing with yoga she was able to finally reach her toes for the first time and from that point she continued to notice changes in her body’s range of motion. Eventually she became very serious about her yoga practice. She continued to develop her knowledge of the practice while living in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Eventually, she moved back to Lake Mary and earned her yoga teacher certification. Manue continues to expand her yoga practice through the study of mediation, Ayurveda, and Pranayama breathing techniques. Her days of managing “chronic inflexibility” have long since disappeared.
In 2015 she joined the Lake Mary Cross Fit community where she has been able to build upon a foundation of mobility to help develop her strength and endurance.
